Robert Bunsen's 200th Birthday Topics Today's Google Doodle
TBT - Doing science laboratory experiments during our high school days are surely fun.We get to see one-celled organisms in a microscope, mix assorted chemicals and we get to burn a lot of those mixtures in a Bunsen burner.
A Bunsen burner produces a single open gas flame, which is used for heating, sterilization, and combustion. It is one of the most vital piece of apparatus in a science laboratory setup.
And we have to thank Robert Bunsen who was born 200 years ago today on March 30, 1811 in Göttingen, Germany.
To honor him, Google has a special doodle featuring his ubiquitous burner.
