Women with Ovarian Cancer Symptoms Advised to Consult DocTBT - Women have been advised to visit their doctor in case they feel any symptoms or see any signs related to ovarian cancer. This piece of advice has come from Macmillan Cancer Support center as ovarian cancer month is being observed nowadays.

Ovarian cancer can affect women of all ages but it is common among those who have crossed the age of 50. Every year, ovarian cancer affects nearly 6,600 women in the UK.

The symptoms that may be associated with ovarian cancer include constant pain in pelvic region, abdominal inflammation, bloating or persistent ache in abdomen and eating difficulties.

Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Specialist, Sarah Bevan has advised that it’s essential to go for checkup to a doctor in case the woman shows any of these symptoms and experiences these symptoms regularly.

She further added that having these symptoms doesn’t necessarily mean that the patient is a victim of ovarian cancer. The symptoms of ovarian cancer are common with other situations but it’s important to go for medical examination as early diagnosis enhances the chance of survival by huge percentage.

The women who have family history of cancer or in whose family two or more cases of ovarian or breast cancer have been reported need to be more aware and should inform their doctor about this.
